What Wellington Boots Does Kate Moss Wear?

We haven’t seen Kate Moss in a pair of wellies recently, but back in 2005, at the Glastonbury festival, Kate gave wellington boot sales a massive boost when she was photographed wearing a pair of black Hunter Original Boots.

Those pictures of Kate wearing Hunter wellies (and not much else) saved the Scottish wellington boot maker from disappearing into oblivion. Not only did sales of Hunter boots have a huge boost, but wellies suddenly became fashionable and many of the other brands also benefited.

The renewed interest in wellies encouraged manufacturers to start looking at how they could improve on the classic wellington boot. Wellies would no longer be limited to green or black colours. In 2007 wellies of nearly any colour you could wish for were available, with Hunter Boots leading the charge.

Hunter now produces tall wellies, short wellies and somewhere in between wellies. Boots that have different types of linings to keep feet warm in the cold and boots with adjustable gussets for wide calves.
