Do you sell wellington boots for people with larger calfs?A:This is a question we get asked a lot and is very common. Several of the brands we stock provide ranges to accommodate wider calfs or have a method of adjusting the boot to allow extra width if required. To view our range of ladies wide calf fitting boots click here Some people with a wider calf prefer to go for a shorter length wellington boot, take a look at our Short Wellington boots category please click here for ladies and click here for gents. If I order the wellies today when will I receive them?A:If the boots are in stock and the order is placed before 1pm between Monday and Friday, we will despatch the same day for delivery the next working day (UK Mainland orders only). Orders placed after 1pm or at weekends and bank holidays will be processed the following working day. Please see full details in delivery info.If the boots do not fit or I don't like them, what is your returns policy?A:We operate a straightforward returns policy - provided the Wellington boots have not been worn and are in their original packaging, you can return them to us within 21 days (if bought for a Christmas present, a ‘reasonable' time will be honoured) and you will receive a full refund for the price paid for the boots. If an exchange is required we would be happy to send you an alternative pair of Wellington boots. Our full refund policy can be read here. How should I look after my Wellington boots?A:Here's our advice for looking after your Wellington boots: Removal - we advise you do not use a step to remove your Wellington boots, always use a boot jack – it will prevent excessive stress to the boot heel, which could lead to splitting. Cleaning – Wash your boots with clean water, allow them to dry in a cool well- ventilated place. Having cleaned and dried the boots a protector spray can be applied (application instructions will vary depending on the brand used). Wellington boots with zips do need extra care; wash mud away, allow to dry and spray with silicone to keep zip free running. It is advisable not to store them with the zip open or clogged with mud. A lot of problems with zips can be avoided if care is taken. Storage – Keep your boots in a cool, well ventilated place, away from strong light. Do not leave on a radiator, boiler or Aga to ‘dry' – or in a freezing cold outhouse. Extremes in temperature will dry and crack the rubber, especially if a protective spray is not used regularly. I'm buying as a gift, can the wellie boots be sent straight to the recipient?A:Yes of course, you can insert two addresses when you place your order - the first will need to be the Billing address for your method of payment, and the second will be the Delivery address for your items. What methods of payment do you accept?A:We accept most major credit and debit cards (except American Express). Orders can be placed on our website, using a secure payment system or by calling 01780 740115 and speaking directly to one of our customer service advisors. How do I know your site is secure?A:The security of your details is something that is very important to us. We use a secure payment system called PayPoint to process all payments. I've heard a mention about ‘Wellies for Schools', can you tell me more?A:Wellies for Schools is a unique welly ordering scheme re-launched by wellieboots.com in 2009. How are my wellington boots despatched and will I need to be at home when they are delivered?A:Most items are sent out using the carrier Interlink Express on a next day service. When ordering smaller/lighter items you will be given the option to have them sent Royal Mail 1st Class or by courier. Ideally the goods will need to be signed for – you can have them sent to a work or alternative address to make this easier. You also have the option to add a special instruction to the driver – this will need to be somewhere secure the parcel can be left if nobody is at home. Can I place my order via telephone?A:Yes of course – just give us a call on 01780 740115 to place your order. Telephone orders are a little trickier to process so can take longer to arrive with you, especially in busy periods. |
