Action Medical Research is a leading children’s research charity founded nearly 60 years ago and has been instrumental in some of the most significant breakthroughs in recent medical history including the UK polio vaccine and ultrasound scanning in pregnancy. Taking inspiration from its mascot, world famous Wellie-wearer Paddington Bear, it has launched it’s fundraising Wellies to Work Day.
It’s as simple as it sounds: encourage everyone in your place of work to wear Wellies on Friday 17th September (or your chosen, convenient date) and collect a donation of £2 per participant full details and registration click here. By wearing your Wellies to work, you’ll help to find ways to prevent life-threatening illnesses, reduce premature births and develop new treatments to improve quality of life for disabled children. And in addition to your efforts, wellieboots.com will contribute 10% of your purchase price to Action Medical Research’s fund.
